BOOKING AND CANCELLATION CONDITIONS AND OTHER INFORMATION
Please read the specific terms and conditions when making your reservation.
PRICES
Prices and booking conditions are for single and double occupancy and vary from room to room. Simulate a reservation to know the final value of your stay.
All rates include VAT.
PAYMENT METHODS
Payment depends on the type of booking.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex and cash payment.
Chalet Saudade accepts these cards and reserves the right to charge your card prior to arrival according to the reservation made.
The City Tourist Tax is not included in the price.
Payment is due at check in (2.00€/person/night up to a maximum of 3 nights).
Some supplements are not automatically calculated from the total cost of the reservation and must be paid separately upon check-in.
NON-REFUNDABLE RATES
Full price will be charged at time of booking. Please note that if you cancel, modify or do not show up, the amount will not be refunded.
FREE CANCELLATION
You can cancel your reservation free of charge up to 15 days before arrival.
14 days before arrival you will be charged the total amount of your stay.
Please note that if you cancel, change or in case of a no-show after this period, the amount will not be refunded.
CHECK-IN/ARRIVAL
Check-in hours: from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Early check-in: upon availability on the day of arrival. To guarantee 100% availability of a room before check-in time, you'll have to book the night before.
Late Check-in: We do not have a 24-hour reception, and if you plan to arrive outside check-in hours, you must contact us in advance as it is subject to availability and prior booking.
Late check-in is only possible until midnight and implies a payment of 40€ after 10 pm and 60€ after midnight.
Documents to be presented: At check-in, guests must present a photo identification and a credit card (if they have not already done so).
Luggage: We can store your luggage in the reception area if you arrive early or after check-out. We are not responsible for any loss or theft that may occur to your belongings.
CHECK-OUT/DEPARTURE
Check-out time: 08h30 am to 12h00 pm
Early check-out: For check-outs before 08h30, the guest must check-out the day before.
Late check-out: Late check-out is only possible upon availability and in case you wish to guarantee it 100%, one night's stay will be charged.
CHILDREN AND EXTRA BEDS
All children are VERY welcome.
This accommodation considers children aged 6 years and over as adults. To see the correct prices and occupancy information, please add the number of children in your group and their ages to your search.
Up to 2 years old: the child will be accommodated free of charge for the use of the existing bed or crib (upon availability);
From 3 to 5 years old (inclusive): the child will be accommodated at a cost of 15 euros/night for the use of the existing bed with breakfast included;
6 (inclusive) or older: the child will be accommodated at a cost of 50 euros/night for the use of an extra bed, breakfast included.
Extra bed: regardless of age, the extra bed will be charged 50€/night with breakfast included.
Extra beds and baby cribs must be requested upon reservation and are subject to availability.
The maximum number of extra beds and cots depends on the room chosen. Please check the room you have chosen for maximum capacity.
Age Restriction: The minimum age to check in without parents is 18 years old.
GROUPS
If the reservation is for more than 3 rooms or more than 4 nights, different conditions and additional supplements may apply, namely the payment of a non-refundable deposit.

BREAKFAST
Breakfast is served in our Café Saudade (170m away from the Chalet) between 08:30 am and 12:00 pm. We serve a continental breakfast, but if you have any special needs we will do our best to accommodate you.
It may be included in the price of the stay, depending on the rate chosen by the guest at the time of booking. If it is not included, breakfast has an additional cost of €10/person per day.
CLEANING
We carry out the daily cleaning of the rooms from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. We cannot guarantee room cleaning after this time if the "Do Not Disturb" sign is on the door.
Sheets: We change the sheets every 3 days.
Towels: We change them daily, but please consider reusing your towels in order to protect the planet.
PARKING
Chalet Saudade does not have private parking and they are not undergrounf parking nearby. Our guests have the following options:
Pre-paid parking with a maximum of 4 hours, renewable. You can park on the streets near the Chalet (ask us which ones) with a parking meter, paying approx. 1.00€/hour from 8 am to 8 pm, but you must feed the meter every 4 hours;
Post-paid parking, with no time limit. Next to Café Saudade there is an outdoor parking, in which you get a ticket when you enter, at a cost of approximately 1.50€/hour from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm and without the need to renew payments. You only pay at the end in the vending machine (only coins are accepted).
Do Not Disturb sign, with no time limit. We have parking signs that you can acquire at the check-in (subject to availability) for 10€ a day. The advantage of these signs is that you don't need to keep feeding the meter and they are cheaper. They are valid pretty much everywhere in Sintra - we will explain where you can park using this sign.
Free parking. There is a free outdoor parking lot 15 minutes walk from the Chalet. This is the Sintra Parking. It is easier to park here on the weekend and during the week after 5 pm.
When guests arrive at Chalet Saudade by car, they can park for a few minutes in front of our gate to unload their luggage and check-in. Inside the Chalet we will give you more information to help you find a place to park your car. Please inform us when you arrive that you have a car so we can give you a sign to put in the car while it's parked in front of our gate to avoid any fines.
Please pay special attention to the traffic signs when parking, especially in the pre-paid parking spots (parking meters). If you see a P sign with a smaller sign at the bottom with something written on it, DO NOT PARK. These are usually places reserved for entities such as the Police or Ambulances. It is strictly forbidden to park in these places, under penalty of receiving a fine or get your vehicle towed.
OTHER INFORMATION
It is strictly PROHIBITTED TO SMOKE in Chalet Saudade, including in the common areas, windows and doors.
Pets are not allowed.
This property does not allow parties or events.
It is not allowed to make noise and disturb other guests between 9:00 pm and 09:00 am.
It is not allowed to walk around without a shirt, barefoot, in pajamas or in a bathing suit in public areas (except in the garden).
Chalet Saudade is not responsible for direct or indirect damages during your stay, including personal injuries.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE PROPERTY IS LOCATED IN A CENTURY-OLD BUILDING WITH NO ELEVATOR, AND THE ROOMS ARE ON DIFFERENT FLOORS THAT CAN ONLY BE REACHED BY SEVERAL FLIGHTS OF STAIRS.

PRIVACY AND PERSONAL DATA POLICY - APPLICABLE TO USERS OF THIS HOTEL COMPANY WHEN MAKING A RESERVATION
Applicable to Users of this Hospitality Business when making a reservation
Data Controller (us): The Hotel Company that will provide you (the user), with the requested service. Our identification and contact details are available on the website you used to make your reservation / to ask us your questions.
User: You, who filled out the booking form or any other documentation related to it.
Purpose: The purpose of processing the data provided through this form is to manage reservations made by you (user) and/or respond to questions or requests made.
Legal Basis:
- Either the need to perform our contract with you (user) or the need to take action at your request before making a reservation.
- Or your consent (the user) by checking the box of acceptance of the Terms and Conditions of which this privacy and personal data policy is an integral part.
Duration: We will store the data provided by you (user) for the time necessary to manage the reservation made, as well as the requested accommodation services. Once management is complete, your data will be kept for six (6) months. If you consent to receive marketing and/or commercial information, your data will be stored until you withdraw your consent.
Processor: We hired our partner RoomRaccoon ( https://roomraccoon.pt/ ) to run the booking engine for our business. RoomRaccoon acts under our authority and we have signed a contract with RoomRaccoon for the provision of its services. We have instructed RoomRaccoon in writing how the processing should be done.
Data entities other than users: When you (the user) provide us with personal data belonging to a data subject other than you, you are responsible for such acts, as well as for obtaining the respective consent of such data subjects for the provision of your data.
Data Transfer: We do not transfer personal data to a third country outside the EEA (European Economic Area).
Rights of data subjects: Data subjects can exercise their rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition by sending an email or via the postal service to the contact details on our booking website and on our invoices.
